A 600 g brick expands to 8 to 10 litres, which is about one household planting session. The size exists because of retail, not because of horticulture — and nearly all brick production is private label.

The product
600 g cocopeat bricks for retail and private label
Our bricks are washed and screened to reduce electrical conductivity, then compressed and dried. We do not heat-treat or sterilise them and we do not currently test for pathogens, so we do not describe them as pathogen-free. If your programme requires certified sterilised material, tell us before ordering and we will be straight with you about whether we can supply it.
The 600 g low-EC brick suits seed starting, potting mixes and hydroponics where close control of nutrients and moisture matters, and can be blended with fertiliser or soil amendments as required.
Hydration
One brick, one planting session
The consumer adds water and the brick expands to eight to ten litres. Nothing about that has to be explained on the packaging, which is why the format works at retail.
Nearly all brick production is private label. We print your artwork, pack to your unit count, and label each brick with its batch reference so a retail complaint can be traced back to a production lot.
The trade-off against a 5 kg block is packaging: more packaging and more handling per litre of substrate, so cost per litre is higher.

EC measured by the 1:1.5 volume extract method. If your specification uses saturated media extract, tell us and we will supply the equivalent figure. The two differ by roughly a factor of two, and it is the most common reason a perfectly good sample gets rejected.
